ITEM 2158 Item 2158: A genuine ink pen autograph of the President's grandson, Ulysses S. Grant 3rd. U.S. Grant the Third was remarkably adept at making his signature match his famous grandfather's as close as possible. He actually practiced using the President's signed documents, and at times his autograph was trimmed to remove the "3rd" portion by dishonest people & sold as the President's. At the time of this signing US Grant was a retired Major General and worked for the National Capitol Park & Planning Commission in Washington, D.C.
